Beya Studios (“we,” “us”) is a hair studio in El Monte, California. This policy explains what information we collect through beyastudios.com and our booking process, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Booking details. When you book, you’re taken to our booking page hosted by Square. Square collects your name, phone number, email, appointment details, notes you add, and any payment or card-on-file information. We receive these details so we can provide your appointment.
- Messages. If you call, text, email, or message us on Instagram, we receive your contact information and whatever you choose to share.
- Basic technical data. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To schedule, confirm, remind you about, and provide your appointments
- To take payment, deposits, and apply cancellation or no-show fees
- To respond to your questions and keep notes about your hair services and preferences
- To keep our website secure and working
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We share information only with providers who help us run the studio: Square (appointments, payments, reminders) and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). Payments are processed by Square; we never see or store your full card number. Square’s own privacy notice applies to information you give on its booking pages. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
How long we keep it
We keep client and appointment records while you’re a client and for as long as reasonably needed for business, tax, and legal purposes, then delete or de-identify them.
Your choices and California rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you appointment texts or emails (you can also reply STOP to texts or use unsubscribe links). California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Children
We offer kids’ services, but bookings for minors must be made by a parent or guardian. We don’t knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
